Quantity 1 = 10 switches I did enjoy typing on MX clear stock though. The tactile bump is quite pronounced and crisp, and the actuation force is right up top, which is something that I’ve really grown to love being the Topre fan that I am. GTCs are nice and I hope that ZPs lose their wobble issues, but I am likely to stick with clears (or knowing me, some sort of modified spring ergo clear variety.
Zealios products are made with high-quality and long-lasting ingredients.
For me ZP67s are only usable with the lighter caps.NOTE: not a scientifically conducted study! :)I hear all the improvements that could be made on Zealios, and many improvements are already underway (re: wobbly). You are right to say that both current 67g variants are almost indistinguishable (both should be equally "wobbly"), but there is still variance in the bottom housing smoothness. Okay, I finally made up my mind, I'll go Zealios 65g, I hesitated a lot with 62g and especially 67g, but 62g will make me missbind like hell, especially in games, and 67g feels like not really improving the typing experience compared to clears. There is a bit of wobble but I didn't find it entirely unpleasant. Tai Hao ABS.ZP67 feel a little shaky/wobbly with heavier caps, i.e. Fantastic write up btw!Just got some tactile Clears. With that said, I have used lubed 62g Ergo Clears, and I definitely enjoyed them, probably s much as my 62g Zealios, if not a little more.I haven't had the chance to try GTC yet, though, sadly.I don't like typing on any of the ergo clears. 70,00 kr 67g Zealios - "Crisp & responsive" tactile bump feeling at the very top with more cushion during bottom out than 65g Zealios V2.
As long as your PCB underneath has 2 extra holes next to the center post, it will support PCB Mounted switches and add extra rigidity to your build. SA; with DSA and TaiHao ABS they are nicer.GTC feel more solid and pleasant (no wobble) with all caps, but especially with SA.GTC and Zeal were preferred equally over MXC on the lighter caps, especially on acrylic, but also liked on metal plate. Some testers found the MXCs preferable in every situation, except for when used on the GON, where some combination of acrylic case etc. With other caps they are very pleasant, it must be said!I'd say they're far from unusable... try them. Allow for confirmation bias and fudged results ;)I have not used the ZP67 or my clicky (Green and Blue MX) boards for a while. A B.87 acrylic layer case and plate, PCB mounted GTCs, finally a GON Nerd TKL with MXCs.Caps used were DSA Dolch, OEM Tai Hao ABS Dolch, SA Carbon and Modern Selectric. In a blind, single bare unmounted switch test the GTC & ZP67s are virtually indistinguishable.Even when compared as above, the MXC have noticeably 'harder' springs.
With that said, I don't care for the SA profile, and I don't care much for MX Clears, as they are too heavy for me and feel MUCH too scratchy. In my opinion, Zealios > Stock Mx Clears in every situation. Today I am going to do a comparison between the Zealios V2 67g and the Halo Clears both stock. Will that dull the bump?I lubed a set of GTCs today and I found that the bump became a bit less noticeable, especially on the switches I put relatively more lube on. I will probably stick with them. But the SA caps were not at all terrible, in my opinion.I did get a bunch of the Gat tactile clears, will say that I am a fan. I did try to use my Dell with Matias Quiet Clicks the other day, but the form factor of such a massive board is what puts me off and so I still feel like I haven't been able to properly evaluate those switches. Tactile bump is round and snappy at the very top. I'm up for some aristotles lube and round 4 zealios to make up for it though.FYI the GTCs are not wobbly and I use them now with SA.BTW with respect to you Henry, the only voice I've heard regarding this supply issue with GTCs is yours. Can you explain the issues involved for the record? The site may not work properly if you don't If you do not update your browser, we suggest you visit Press J to jump to the feed. made them feel 'mushy' or simply too hard.Personally I now use the GTCs on the Aluminium Phantom TKL, backup preference for MXC + SA on the KUL (plate with and without PCB) using any cap. I think the best way to go is to apply as thin a coat of lube as possible, as that will increase smoothness and avoid lessening the tactility. Not really a scientific write up, but funny to read. 78g Zealios - For those that prefer a slightly lighter MX Clear, but want a bigger and smoother bump than MX Clears / Holy Pandas. There may be some available now.So I bought myself a few hundred of each switch type and built a board or two with each switch so I could test them out in work (programmer) conditions. )FYI AFAIK there are none available for sale at the moment, and there's no info on a re-up.Edit: they were back in stock on winkeyless.kr the other day (I bought some more.)
