Viggo Mortenson is flawless (actually everyone is in this movie). Rechercher un titre.

I originally seen this film on tv and enjoyed it, if it's possible to enjoy a film with such a serious subject.

Finally I just stopped watching after they got to the coast and later the father ordered a man to take even his clothing off out of a sense of justice he wanted to teach his son. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. I enjoy post apocalyptic themes to books and films, but to be honest this doesn't add too much to the genre. Directed by John Hillcoat.

No light jovial Saturdee afternoon entertainment, this. A worthy point to make no doubt, but a dark film to watch.

Guy Pierce's presencw at the end helps as well In that setting the bleak atmosphere and palpable sense of dread (not to mention cannibals) made it a real nail-biter. The book resonated with me more deeply due to being astoundingly well-written and more reflective than the film. I recognize that it's not a movie for everyone due to it being so emotional and at time heart wrenching and graphic.

Mortensen is excellent as the father and really carries this film, although there are great performances from the likes of Charlize Theron, Guy Pierce and Robert Duvall as well. With Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Robert Duvall. The star of most apocalyptic films is the apocalypse, seen and examined in detail, the how, where and why of it ever-present, inescapable.

Its not classified as a horror movie but it is to me. Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. All the food is gone so people are eating people and keeping people like cattle. My son and I were incredibly moved. Holy Moly.

The worry of his son being hurt or 'expolited' leads him to a potentially drastic action in each scenario of danger.

Everything has died off and there is a father and son trying to get across a very dangerous cannibal infested country to the coast. It depicts a very protective father who after the "apocalypse" and the death of his wife has to protect his son at all costs.

It demonstrates the hardships the survivors have to go through and the dangers that lurk around every corner, but it has no hope or redemption and your finish it feeling rather deflated.

An epic post-apocalyptic tale of the survival of a father and his young son as they journey across a barren America that was destroyed by a mysterious cataclysm. This is shot very well and portrays the bleak landscape very well, with washed out colours and plenty of grey ash this film feels dark and inhospitable.
