This is not a well trodden path so a sense of direction is needed. But we would definitely not have made the one or other without your blog. We’ll be writing about this soon so >>you don’t make the same mistake!Oh yes, I never got around to writing about this! How long are you going to Oman? Enjoy your time in Nizwa:-)Hi! Oman : Itinéraires en Oman 1 jour à 3 semaines. The Hayyak “New Welcome Pack” cost 2 OMR (£3.75) including 1.5 GB data (valid for 10 days) and 1 OMR credit. Entrance was only 500 baisa (£0.95) and it wasn’t very busy.

Driving in Jebel Akhdar is a lot more restricted: you pass a police checkpoint at the start where you have to show your car insurance, drivers license and prove you have a 4WD. Some of the roads are on the regular Oman map, but if the rental company specifically forbids you to drive off-road you shouldn’t do it. A breakfast buffet is included in the price. There didn’t seem to be anywhere particularly good to eat in Nizwa, so we self-catered at the amazing, huge Lulu Hypermarket. It really has everything you could possibly need including an excellent prepared food section where we stocked up on samosas, dahl, curries, rice, salads, hummus, and bread. I am aware of the sensitivities of dogs in oman, but would dogs be permitted on the walks, etc?How wonderful you will be living in Oman for 3 years, I’m jealous!!! 9 déc.

So, many thanks for publishing your trip.Thank you for your kind words, your comment made my day:-) Happy to hear you loved Oman as much as we do and that my itinerary inspired you to visit some offroad tracks! It’s not a difficult route and it was perfect to get acquainted with the car and build some confidence driving a 4WD and driving off-road.A beautiful route through the mountains! It’s not just a castle, there is an entire town situated within the walls of the fort.We only did half or this hike because we wanted to hike in Wadi Damm as well and we wanted to drive all the way to Jebel Akhdar and were not sure how long that would take. The hike started right behind our campsite but it can be a bit difficult to find the start of the trail. Just climb up the rocks next to the camp site and look for a small goats trail. You can also visit the dhow boat-building yard nearby. There wasn’t much to do in the afternoon, but at sunset we went for a stroll on the beach where hundreds of local men were playing huge football games.
